Here’s the latest update from Erin Joyner, Senior Vice President of Product Management for Higher Education.

The way customers purchase and consume higher education learning solutions has undergone a significant shift.


To meet this changing dynamic, Cengage Product Management leadership, with input from hundreds of colleagues, redesigned our operating model and organizational structure. 


The benefits of our new structure include:

  • Focused investment in value drivers such as content and learning activities, that we know our customers will value.
  • Faster, iterative go-to-market cycles require a faster and more efficient product development cycle. Our streamlined content management team reduces handoffs and improves product delivery time to market.
  • Enhanced product development expertise to elevate the learning experience and create superior content.


As part of our new operating model for Product Management, nearly 100 people took on a new role with new responsibilities. Our new Learning Designers, In-House Subject Matter Experts, Content Managers and Market Development Managers will more effectively and efficiently develop and build our products.
