My name is Greg Underwood. I teach English and am a department chair at Pearl River Community College's Forrest County Center in Hattiesburg, MS. I have taught English classes for PRCC since 1997 in face-to-face, and later in hybrid and online modalities.
I started teaching online courses in 2002. There's been a world of multiple changes in online education since then, and I enjoy seeing students learn more while enjoying it through courseware such as Mindtap and Aplia, which I use for both content delivery and assessment. As a chair, I've seen the results both in terms of student outcomes and in faculty satisfaction.
I received his BS in accounting from Spring Hill College, my MA in English from the University of Memphis, and am currently working on my PhD dissertation in English at the University of Southern Mississippi.
