Girl Scout locates cookie stand next to weed store

Recreational marijuana is now legal in California--just in time for Girl Scout cookie sales. One entrepreneurial Girl Scout in San Diego reportedly sold 312 boxes in a few short hours by locating a stand where likely cookies munchers might be found.

An organization spokesperson told the San Diego Union-Tribune that "the regional council of the national organization is not investigating the matter, but would discuss it with the girl and her family if they ever find out who she is because there are very particular rules about when and where Girl Scouts can sell their popular cookies each year — and 'consequences' for repeated infractions."

It remains to be seen what action, if any, will be taken by the organization--or by individual Scouts wanting to boost sales.
