I've got a question for you: how do you make students care about the subject matter of your course as much as you do? Some of your students are non-majors and are perhaps taking your course because it's a requirement or because they need to fill out their schedule.
I have to admit this issue has often frustrated me. There's always been such a difference in class participation between those sections I've taught containing majors and those that don't. So - you're devoted your life to the topic you're teaching - how do you get students to be as excited about it as you are about it?
