i have a 2004 ram 5.7 and it gets 40 psi (a little low) to the fuel rail when its priming and as soon as the truck cranks it goes down to 0 psi and the engine dies. any ideas? it had cut off on me once or twice when leaving a parking spot and it threw a code for the egr valve which makes some sense so i went and bought one and on the way home it lost power and i drifted to the side of the road and towed it back. the new egr is installed and the code is cleared. it primes, fires up, revs to about 2200 rpm and just dies.
