In his new book, The Immigrant Exodus, tech entrepreneur Vivek Wadhwa sounds the alarm on what he sees as the U.S. losing a competitive edge to countries like China and India. The U.S., he says, is missing out on top talent, as potential entrepreneurs find it harder to get to the U.S. Wadhwa himself came to the U.S. in 1980 and began a career in the tech sector. A decade after starting work in the sector, Wahdwa founded his first company. In discussing the book with Wharton's Mukul Pandya, Wadhwa says if he were to try to repeat that success today, he could not. And that, he argues, is costing the American economy:
