American companies seem pretty tight-fisted with their dollars these days. According to the Federal Reserve, nonfinancial corporations are holding more cash in reserve than they have in 50 years. In order to understand why corporations are resistant to cut into their savings, we turn to Paddy Hirsch and the Marketplace Whiteboard.
