Just before he stepped down as CEO of Twitter, Evan Williams sat down for Tea with The Economist. He answered some tough questions, such as "is Twitter a service and a network or a company?" As you might guess, Williams says that Twitter is absolutely a company. But, he adds, Twitter makes all its decisions with the user experience in mind. So if that means welcoming other services that utilize Twitter, they will continue to do so.
