The recession may have ended in the middle of 2009, but consumer spending did not come back.  In fact, Sara Murray reported this week in the Wall Street Journal, "middle-class Americans made their deepest spending cuts in more than two decades."  Here's a look at how spending habits changed during the recession (click here to read Murray's article):
