Chris Anderson, the curator of TED (not the Wired editor with the same name), says we have long realized that innovation is more likely to come about when people are connected to the ideas of others. And the last 15 years have brought about rapid innovation because of the links (virtual and otherwise) the World Wide Web has provided between innovators. In this TED Talk, Anderson describes the phenomenon he calls Crowd Accelerated Innovation. He begins by describing what web video has meant for the world of dance, but the talk soon brings forth key lessons for innovators in all fields, and presents an interesting lens through which to consider how innovators and entrepreneurs can use open online platforms to move ideas forward.
