Reddit is one of those online "success" stories where the question of long term viability is still up in the air.  The social media news sharing site grew in popularity after its launch in 2005 (with funding from Y Combinator).  Then Conde Nast acquired Reddit, and went to work on monetizing the product.  Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian tells Big Think that the partnership has been a good one for him and Reddit's community, since Conde Nast's efforts have not changed the site's core appeal to users.  And he thinks they can find a way to turn a profit from massive traffic (300 million page views a month).
