After he and some of his top executives were grilled by Senators Carl Levin (D_MI), Susan Collins (R-ME), Claire McCaskill (D-MD) last week, Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein went to Charlie Rose to try to build up his public image a bit. The full interview is now available online for those who missed its airing. And while it would be misleading to say that the interview did much to shine light on the sort of practices that have Goldman in trouble with the SEC, it does reveal a bit about Blankfein's approach, and why he is sticking to his contention that Goldman employees are in the business to make the world a better place.
