The Atlanta Regional Council for Higher Education released an intriguing report showing the connection between higher education and an individual's earning potential, well being, and overall quality of life. Examining average per capita income, Georgians with a BA degree earn twice as much as high school graduates and are 50% less likely to be unemployed. The study continues to show the positive impact of higher education on quality of life through indicators such as homeownership, health and aging, and a higher average SAT score for students with college educated parents.
